State Finals
Bellows Falls
September 7 & 9, 2012
I finally got off the phone with the manager of the Center
Harbor Inn (Harry). I know this is fast but this is a heavily visited tourist
area. I know some new teams may not know if they are on board but you can
always book it and proceed as if you are...
This hotel is right next to the boat ramp!!
There is a wedding party that is booked in the same weekend we are meaning
the rooms are limited.
I got Harry to give us some great deals compared to their standard rates.
Friday night is a premium night and the rates are much higher so these negotiated
rates
give you a break the more nights you stay.
There are 10 standard rooms w/2 queen beds in them.
If you rent for 2 nights Thurs/Fri it is $119 and 3 or more nights it is
$99.
There are 2 efficiency rooms available:
3 nights or more they are $119 a night
There are 3 waterfront rooms supposedly these are the newest rooms with
flat screen TV and great views.
They are also $119 for 3 or more nights.
They have boat slips w/power. Space is limited to about 6-10 boats but Harry
said you can beach it if that works. Normally
they get $20 a night to dock your boat but for a 3 night stay it is $10
a night and for 2 nights it is $15.
Harry has agreed to allow us to hold the weigh-in on their beach if we take
10 rooms.
I know Ron Kerswell knows a "sportsman's camp" on the other side
of the ramp. After Ron books his room there and Wendy books hers at the
Inn :-) I am sure he will share that information with the rest of us. (Thanks
Ron!)
I am hoping that between the sportsman's camp and the Inn that we can have
at least a dozen boats already in the water as parking is challenging....
So there are a total of 15 rooms available at the Center Harbor Inn. You
can email Harry - Harry@centerharborinn.com to request reserve your room
and I suggest doing it quickly. Please tell Harry you are with NEBA / Dave
Sullivan group. http://www.centerharborinn.com
For those reminiscing about the old Town Line ( I call it the scum line)
hotel. It is out of business.
Just want to make sure that you have a place to stay!
For new folks we have a Mandatory meeting on Thursday night before the tourney
(Sept 8th at 4:00PM) We have a great meal, talk about all the rules, draw
boat numbers and eat, drink and be merry.
For those up there on Wednesday night Sept 7th. This will be President's
night at a site to be disclosed. This is where I treat you to Pizza and
some adult beverages from 6:30pm-8:00pm -- fish tales, food, cigars, fine
wine... Always a fun time!
_ Dave Sullivan
