The Best Western is the best bang for our money and has facilities to accommodate everything we need.
The management at this hotel is very excited we are coming and are being very helpful. There is plenty of boat and truck parking with FREE hookups to charge your boat and many spots that you will not have to disconnect your rig. They have committed to have their extensive FREE continental breakfast running early for both tournament days. They have a restaurant and lounge open all week till 10:00pm. They have an indoor pool and Jacuzzi. All rooms have refrigerators (small). There is a community microwave oven in the lobby area. They also have FREE wireless internet. They have cabled internet too if you need that...
I have been in touch with their banquet staff and have explained the amount of food this group consumes. They are able to do our banquet on Thursday night and another dinner for us on Friday night and can also do a sandwich/chips/cookies for tournament days. You don't have to be at the hotel to get into the lunch/dinner programs.
I will be working the prices for the lunch and menus for the dinners. What I can tell you is that we will have our Mandatory meeting at the Best Western on Thursday Sept 9th at 5:00pm. This will be a chicken BBQ w/trimmings, boat draws, raffle and explanation of the flow of the event as well as any site rule additions.. Other meals/times/sandwich info etc... will be on the registration form.
The hotel has held a block of rooms for us for the next month. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! If you have already called somewhere else you may consider moving here as the meals will be here on Thursday and Friday plus the comradery and FREE Breakfast and a fridge and an indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi. IF YOU ALREADY BOOKED at the Best Western, PLEASE call and REBOOK and this is VERY VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE USE BOOKING CODE "NEBA" and CALL the HOTEL DIRECTLY at (518) 585-2378, DO NOT use the 800 Best Western corporate number. The rate is $100.99 per night inclusive, including the weekend nights (there is no up charge for us). Those wishing to stay Saturday night will still get this discounted rate. These rates are for their basic rooms 2 queen beds. This is a $11 a night savings during the week on the AAA rate and $24 a night savings on the weekend (FRI/SAT) rate.
