2013 NEBA of MA State Finals Information Sheet

The only qualification to fish the finals in September is that you fish 3 events minimum.

A separate entry form comes out in July for the State Finals and is due at the last tournament. While the event is a free entry, there are some ancillary fees and pools that generally total about $100 per team. You will also see NEBA club members at the finals. Clubs can send members directly to the finals under our EES. So the final event is usually bigger than the trail events.

Here is the lodging information for the finals on Champlain:

For those staying the week, cabins are available on the VT side of the new Champlain bridge. Cost is $450 per week. They will request a deposit of $150. I have been in touch with them and they will give preference to those staying the week. If you are only going for 5 days you could get on the waiting list should all the cabins not fill (that is probably doubtful as they only have 12, they will fill fast. They are 2 bedroom units except for 1 that is a King unit so it would be nice if a couple grabbed that one.

The banquet on Thursday night Sept 5th will be at the Best Western.

Other options are in Ticonderoga which is about a 25 minute ride up to the Port Henry ramp. I am in negotiation with the Best Western and will have a group rate on that one soon. You can still book but when I get the rate, you can call and re-apply. This is a boat friendly hotel with a restaurant, bar and pool close to the Ticonderoga ramp.
